Aquatic Invasive Species ID Workshop
Mercredi 06 Novembre 2019 - 09:00am - Mercredi 06 Novembre 2019 12:00pm
The New Brunswick Invasive Species Council (NBISC) is hosting a free workshop on Wednesday November 6th 2019 to learn about two aquatic invasive species that pose a significant threat to NB's water bodies: Eurasian Water Milfoil and Zebra/Quagga Mussels. Our local milfoil expert, Dr. Meghann Bruce, will be teaching how to ID this highly invasive plant- which is already in the St. John River- and we will share resources you can use within your own organization to teach others. We will also discuss ways to coordinate efforts to prevent the spread and introduction of new species (such as zebra mussels), through the #CLEANDRAINDRY program.

The event is being held in Fredericton at the Maritime College of Forest Technology in the Hugh John Flemming Forestry Centre- 1350 Regent Street. Funding is available to assist groups with travel to this event.
