A memo leaked to a Canadian scientist described the removal of habitat protection from Canada's Fisheries Act. The Atlantic Salmon Federation (ASF) is asking you to sign a petition in support of maintaining habitat protection as part of the Fisheries Act.

The petition can be found by clicking on this link:

This is important to all, as without habitat protection, all watersheds and coastal waters are placed in jeopardy.

In case you have forgotten "habitat"has several meanings:native environment, natural home, area of distribution, terrain, territory, range, domain, realm, milieu, haunt, place, spot, locale, setting, region, zone, stomping ground, home base, roost, pad.
Protection for various Species under Fisheries Act is primordial in the safeguarg and survival of many life forms for now and in the future.

    Thanks in advance!

Please do not attempt to remove any section(s) from the fisheries act that may negatively impact habitat protection .
