Event Agenda

Saturday March 10th

12:30pm – 1:00pm      

  • Registration 

1:00pm –1:30 pm 

  • Curiosity and Candor:  Polyvalente W.A.-Losier and Fredericton High School's environmental committees are going to lead participants in activities that will give all of us a chance to meet, solve problems, and laugh.

1:30pm – 2:30pm       

  • Branching OutEstelle Drisdelle , Community Forest International shares how this volunteer driven organization based in Canada and Pemba, Tanzania use creativity when working to connect people and their communities to the forests that sustain them.
2:45pm – 3:45pm       
  • Cultivated Arts – Nicole Briand from Really Local Harvest, a cooperative of about thirty farmers from South East New Brunswick, will introduce the local farmin world to us. She will also be sharing a few videos and photos that she took while visiting NB farms last summer.

4:00pm – 6:00pm    

  • Practice Makes Perfect – we will invade Sackville with our ideas and creativity. Supported by local artists Naturally Creative teams will create community art pieces –using natural materials. Artist leader for the afternoon is Rena Thomas.

6:00pm – 7:15pm       

  • Art of Cooking and Pleasure of Eating – supper time!

7:15pm – 7:45pm   

  • Broad stroke -the history of environmental art presented by Emily Phillips

8:00pm – 9:30pm 

  • Crafty Ideas- EcoAction will host an evening of creativity with different art stations including recycled art, silkscreening, and a film booth or

9:00pm - ?

        Movie and then it's off to bed. Make sure you bring sleeping mats, sleeping bags and  pillows. We have lots of space to sleep at the curling club.

Sunday March 11th

9:00am – 9:30 am       

  • Breakfast (coffee, tea, sun, yawns…you get it)

9:30am – 12:00pm      

  • Explore and Express – this is a pro-action café that will allow  groups and individuals to discuss, vision and strategize around one a local or provincial projects that that needs some support.

12:00pm – 12:45pm   

  •   Lunch

1:15pm – 1:45pm        

  • Illuminating Possibilities – Keleigh Annau talks about how Lights Out Canada went from being just an idea to a national campaign and how she succeeded in getting it to this point.
